Cuban Roast Pork Rub
This dry pork rub contains the classic flavours for making a Cuban Roast. Use this pork blend to get the most succulent, juicy, garlicky pork flavours out of your meat. The best part is that it doesn't need great cuts of meat to taste great. The slow roasting and the marinade does all that work for you. So feel free to get any pork shoulder, butt, bone-in etc that you like.
The Cuban Roast Pork tastes great shredded up in tacos, or sliced in sandwiches, or with a sauce and rice.
This blend is also free from chillies, although it does contain pepper, it should still be easy going enough for kids.
Cuban Roast Pork Rub Technical Notes
Ingredients: Cumin, Garlic, Lime, Oregano, Paprika, Black Pepper, Sea Salt
Usage: Combine around 2 tsp of this blend with 1/4 cup of orange juice, and 2 tbsp of olive oil. Marinade your pork for at least 2 hours. Cover in foil and roast slowly for about 3 hours at 130-140C. Then remove the foil, and roast for further 2 hours until surface is crackling. Let the meat rest, and then enjoy. Serves 4.
